Just a great record from start to finish. Simultaneous bass groves and the vocals!!! Love this album, most authentic and unpretentious music I've heard in years. Of all the modernisations of traditional forms, the rhythms and groves fit perfectly with the soaring expression of Pansori, and prompted me to delve into and appreciate this most unique and beautiful form of cultural expression.

This album goes back and forth between transcendent ethereal strings and grinding dissonance. I usually don't go for dissonance this hard, but maybe it's because the contrast between the two works so well.
